--- How to use Argos ---

1. Set your access password.
Edit the file psw.php in the folder /data, setting the value of $psw by replacing user with a new password.
Save the file and close it.
You will need this password when you want to consult your site stats. It is going to be a bit more confidential.

2a. Set the IP you don't want Argos to trace, if any.
Edit the file start.php in the folder /data, setting the value of $white by replacing x.x.x.x with a new IP.
Save the file and close it.
Argos won't trace the accesses from this IP.

2b. Set the domain name and home of your web site to monitor.
Edit the file start.php in the folder /data, setting the value of $base by replacing mysite.com with your site actual domain
and setting the value of $home by replacing index.html with your site actual home page.
Save the file and close it.
Argos won't repeat them when drawing the stats charts.

3. Upload the whole Argos folder to your server.
Uploading the whole Argos folder to your site root would be more comfortable, but it's not mandatory.
Keep note of the folder address.

4. Call Argos from every page you want to track.
Insert in every page you want to track the following HTML code:
   <div hidden><iframe src="http://www.mysite.com/argos/argos.php" height="0"> </iframe></div>
Of course, replace mysite.com with your actual site address ;)

5. To consult the stats, open in your browser the file argos/index.php.
   E.g. http://www.mysite.com/argos/index.php
Log in with the password you have set in psw.php and start to check who and when has visited your site.

6. NOTA BENE
All the stats data are stored in the argos.csv file.
Take care of backuping a copy of it on a regular basis.
In case you want to update or reinstall Argos on your web server, DON'T overwrite argos.csv unless you have a most recent backup copy of it.
